From Cows to Guinea Pigs, there’s a wide variety of traditional farm animals and domestic animals that can be found at Putlake Adventure Farm. All the animals are housed in spacious enclosures with ample space for roaming and playing.
Our animals are at the heart of what we do at Putlake Farm and they are always pleased to see you! Come and make some new friends and get close to farmyard animals.
Bottle feed the lambs & goats, groom the pony and handle the guinea pigs! We also have pigs, cows, alpacas, a Shire Horse, rabbits, chickens, donkeys, birds, tortoises and peacocks!

The whole family can participate every day in exciting petting & feeding sessions! Besides stroking the bunnies and guinea pigs and feeding the lambs, you can brush the ponies and even milk Mildred the Milking Goat. And no visit is complete without saying hello to our alpacas.
Spring is a magical time of year on the farm and it really comes to life – literally. During Spring the Farm is home to expectant mums of all shapes, sizes and breeds. Come and enjoy the magic for yourselves – we know you will fall in love with the lambs, piglets and baby calfs. Observe them nestling and feeding from their mother and, if you’re really lucky, you might even see some being born – such a memorable experience.
There are many different animals in the paddocks as well, ranging from curly tailed pigs to ponies, goats, and chickens.
Come and play in one of Dorset’s largest indoor soft play areas…
3 storeys high, with ball pit, slides, zip wire, nets, a football area, and baby & toddler zone. An indoor football table!
